If your mobile phone can use Internet and Java application, you can connect to and use chatrooms in Justin TV. I’ll tell you how to do it. This is really fun! Cause you can chat in Justin TV 24 hours any time and from everywhere simply using your mobile phone…
Oh, your justin TV user name must be confirmed by Justin TV to use IRC client to do this. You need to send a request e-mail to info@justin.tv to get your confirmation. Please don’t forget to mention clearly in the e-mail why you want to use your user name in IRC client.
OK, then, here we go!
Mobile phone display

PC display monitoring my posting from mobile phone
1. Download ‘jmIrc-0.95.jar ( not ‘jmIrc_src-0.95.tar.gz’ )’ into your PC from the link below. ( Do not try to download this file straight into your mobile phone! Your mobile phone browser will display ‘Time out’ message. )
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=109403&package_id=118121&release_id=382114
2. Install the jmIrc-0.95.jar file into your mobile phone from your pc using USB / Bluetooth connection.
3. Look at Menu display in your mobile phone and check the new application ‘jmIrc’ is installed successfully.
4.Click the ‘jmIrc’ icon. Select ‘Profile’ from ‘Options’.
5. Select ‘Add new profile’ from ‘Options’ and set the profile as below ( an example )
Profile name – Justin tv mobile
Nick – Your Justin tv username
Alternative nic – Leave this empty
IRC server – irc.justin.tv
( ‘irc.justin.tv’ is not used any more. You must get each chatroom’s server address by typing a command ( /server ) in each chatroom using your pc’s browser previously! )
IRC server port – 6667
Channles – the channel’s name you want to set as default ( you can change this later. )
Username – Leave this empty
Real name – Leave this empty
Server password – Your Justin tv password
When you have finished, select ‘Save’ from ‘Options’
6. Select ‘Save’ from ‘Options’ again and you’ll see ‘jmIrc 0.95 By juhovh’ on the screen.
7. Select ‘Connect’ from ‘Options’ and you might see the message ‘Allow application jmIrc to use network and send or receive data?’ And simply select ‘Yes’
8. Select access point you are usually using as web browsing from your mobile phone. For example, I live in U.K. using ‘3 mobile’ service and my mobile phone displays 2 access points. One is ‘3′ and the other is ‘3 MMS’. I can use any of these to access to Internet.
9. You’ll see the message like..
*** connecting to irc.justin.tv at port 6667
10. And after a while, you’ll also see the message like..
*** Connected to server, joining channels
11. And You’ll see the message finally like..
*** foxdream_irc has joined
#foxdream2000angel
*** Nicks in channle:
@foxdream_irc
*** Topic is ”
* foxdream_irc changed mode:
‘+o’ foxdream_irc
12. Now you are in foxdream2000angel jtv chatroom!
13. you can see the chatters’ postings being updated automatically in the display.
14. If you want to speak in the chat, simply select ‘Msg’ from ‘Options’ and when you have finished writing, simply select ‘Send’ from ‘Options’.
15. If you want to see who are in the chat, you can see their names by selecting ‘Names’ from ‘Option’.
16. If you want to join other chatrooms ( This means you can see more than 1 chatrooms at the same time ), simply select ‘Join’ from ‘Options’, type the chat names you want to join in, and Select ‘Ok’ from ‘Options’.
17. You can display different chatroom windows by using ‘4′ or ‘6′ key
18. Simply select ‘Close’ from ‘Options’ to close the current chat window you are watching.
19. Simply select ‘Disconnect’ from ‘Options’ to be disconnected from Justin TV IRC chat server.
20. SImply select ‘Exit’ from ‘Options’ to end the program.
From the second time, after clicking the ‘jmIrc’ icon from the menu to start the program, by simply selecting ‘Connect’ from ‘Option’, you can connect to the chatroom you have set as default in its profile automatically.
And..
‘jmIrc’ is an IRC client, so it has a window you can see when ‘jtv notifier’ displays ‘Your favorie, someone, is broadcasting now.’
You can also check who are broadcasting in your favorite channels, simply by typing URL like below in your mobile phone’s browser.
www.justin.tv/YOUR USER NAME/favorites/live

Hi, william, um… Which mobile phone are you using? Here’s faq page on jmirc website
http://jmirc.sourceforge.net/faq.html
Also, you might be able to find answer or ask in jmirc forum
http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=109403
I also found the same error on google though..
http://forums.crackberry.com/f5/irc-8100-wont-work-26998/
You also might find answer using google with the 2 keywords like..
‘YOUR MOBILE PHONE NAME’ and ‘jmirc’
And sometimes, the error message word ‘abort’ can be seen when using mobilephone on less memory than an application needs to work properly.
( I have added 2GB in my mobilephone for broadcasting though.. )
Hope you can solve the problem!

Hi, william.
I researched internet about this and also found that some ppl say jmirc’s newest version doesn’t work on bb. They say jmirc’s version 0.92 works on bb. Please check the url below.
