Using Bluetooth headset for mobile phone to broadcast on Justin TV.
You can transfer live streaming data from mobile phone camera to your note book pc using blootooth as well.
So, you can broadcast live streaming show on Justin TV from your mobile phone camera!
Have you ever thought like…
‘I want to lifecast on qik, but they are not supporting my mobile phone!’
‘I want to broadcast on Justin tv / Ustream, but they are not supporing mobile phone live steaming!’
I have been struggling on this kind of problem for ages!
My main broadcast is on Justin tv but they don’t support mobile phone cam live streaming. My mobile phone is Nokia 6630 and no websites support my mobile phone to broadcast. I found only 1 website ( kyte.tv ) that supports my mobile phone. But kyte.tv is available only for live snap shots, not live streaming. grrrr..
If people could broadcast on Justin TV / Ustream using their mobile phones, lifecasting would be more popular and more people would be enjoying their lifecasting on live!
First, I tried to watch Justin TV on my mobile phone. I could see most of the contents perfectly ( including banners ) though.. ( Tia Marie @ Justin TV said it is possible cause my mobile phone supports JAVA. ) But,,, still I couldn’t broadcast or watch the other broadcasters’ live streaming using my mobile phone.
Secondly, I tried downloading and installing Flash Player for Symbian OS. Exactly, I found that kind of Flash Player for my mobile phone at Adobe website. So I installed it in my mobile phone. But nothing special happened. lol.
And finally, I found a really cool software that could transfer my mobile phone’s live camera streaming data to my laptop. This software’s name is ‘Mobiola Web Camera.’
Mobiola Web camera supports both USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connection to transfer data to your note book. This means, it’s much easier for you to broadcast on the streets because… you don’t need to put your Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 on your cap or on your shoulder struggling to hide its USB cable so that people won’t see you as a funny eye-catchy strange guy any more.
Just imagine, you are walking on the streets with your usual laptop-in backpack, your mobile phone, and a cool hollywood-S/F-film lookalike bluetooth headset ( You use this head set as a microphone input source for broadcasting setting though.. ) on your ear! People must watch you like… ‘OMG! This guy is sooo coool!’ lol
The typical image of lifecsting was as you know… the famous Justin Kan @ Justin TV wearing a webcam on his cap.. I call this ‘First lifecasting generation.’
And the second lifecasting generation is.. I call ‘Bluetooth mobile lifecasting.’
You can download the software ‘Mobiola Web Camera’ trial version from
http://www.mobiola.com/mobiola-web-camera
There are 2 reasons I recommend this software to you:
1. Mobiola web camera supports all kinds of mobilephone OS and versions.
2. Support Staffs are so kind. ( They gave me a proper solution even after I bought a product that was for a different type of Symbian OS version for my mobilephone. )
So if you want / need to live broadcast on Justin TV / Ustream using your mobilephone camera, you can try Mobiola Web Camera just right now!
P.S. As I mentioned above, you can use your bluetooth headset as a microphone source when broadcasting on Justin TV / Ustream for example.

Hi,
Ulysses King from Kyte here.
Wanted to let you know that you can live stream with Kyte’s mobile production application, Kyte Mobile Producer. The application is available on several Nokia S60 3rd edition camera phones, here’s a link of all the supported phones: http://www.kyte.com/platform/pg/kyte_mobile_producer_for_s60_compatible_phones
In addition to live streaming, we give you the option of recording and uploading. This is a very important feature, as it allows you to produce content even when you’re in non-optimal network conditions (e.g. no 3G or wifi) and provides more editorial control (e.g. you could start producing a show, decide you don’t like it, delete and try again).
You can also live stream via web cam on the Kyte Platform, and also email video or photos to your Kyte channel.
Check out this link for an overview of the Kyte Platform: http://www.kyte.com/platform
Thanks!
Ulysses

@Ulysess Thanks for your kind comment. Unfortunately, my mobile phone is Nokia 6630 and its OS is Symbian S60 V2.0 FP2, not S60 3rd edition. So please notify me when kyte adds my OS as soon as possible!

hi foxdream2000angel,
I have a nokia 6630 just like you, and wile searching for the same as you describe on your threat I stumbled upon a program similar as the mobiola you mentioned.
but its freeware open source program. it is called Movino.
besides the same functions of mobiola it can receive internet live streaming on the mobile phone.
taking this in to consideration I think a simple way to implement the live streaming from nokia 6630 to the internet is to reverse the function that allows it to receive incoming streams from the internet with Movino

Hi, Rui. Thanks for the comment.
I’ll check Movino and write a new article in the near future.
Thanks very much!
